Visiting Canton last sunday afternoon one our team members decided he would catch a movie on his day off. Feeling like an action flix he opted for the suicide squad. I digress, his reports were that if your into a dark and twisted characters then you will love the film. His personal opinion on the joker was that the character stepped a little too far on the weird side, maybe over dramatic. With Jack Nicholson being the pioneer and Jake Gyllenhaal the premier jokers in our day the he really feel that this was a disappoint in either screened roll or actors performance. The plot was in a flash back style with characters histories, and overall we felt very limited in depth and didn't build much story line. Compared to a Marvel film i would have to see another to be impressed.
Another team member recently checked out the brand-new Jurassic World: Rebirth at our favorite Canton MI theater. (Yes, we're still loving those Sunday matinees — comfy seats, cheap tickets, and zero stress.)
His verdict?
"Way better than expected. This one had action, emotion, and a deeper story. It’s not just dinos chasing people, it’s about whether humans and dinosaurs can actually live together."
The film introduces a fresh storyline that steps beyond the usual Jurassic chaos. While it still delivers big-time with dinosaurs, chase scenes, and intense moments, it also brings in strong new characters and thoughtful world-building. The CGI and sound effects were top-tier, making the big-screen experience absolutely worth it.
Garage Door Pros Movie Rating:
8.7/10 — more layered than past sequels, and a great pick for fans of action and sci-fi.
Overall, the Garage Door Repair team member gave Suicide Squad a 7.5 and Jurassic World: Rebirth an 8.7. While Suicide Squad had some weak performances and a thin, fast-paced plot, both films delivered on the action front, packed with the kind of Hollywood thrills that make for a fun Canton MI movie night.
